Abigail Solomon-Godeau

Abigail Solomon-Godeau is Professor Emerita in art history, University of California and the author of Photography at the Dock: Essays on Photographic Histories, Institutions, and Practices (1991), Male Trouble: A Crisis in Representation (1997) and Rosemary Laing (2010).
Her essays on photography, art history, contemporary art and feminism are widely anthologized. Currently she is working on two books, The Face of Difference: Gender and Genre in Photography and Art Photography in the Age of Catastrophe.
