Jeanette Zwingenberger
*1962 in Memmingen, lives and works in Paris
Dr. Jeanette Zwingenberger Ph.D. is an art historian, member of the AICA (International Association of Art Critics), and an independent curator based in Paris. Originally a scholar with a formation in Renaissance Art, and now a specialist in the contemporary art scene, she is the author of more than thirty books and exhibition catalogues, numerous papers, and writes for art das Kunstmagazin, Artpress, and L’œil.
As a guest professor, she has been invited to various European and American universities: Paris, Tours, Freiburg, the University of Chicago, and the State University of New York, as well as the College Internationale de Philosophie and the College de France.
A partial list of exhibitions and art events she has organized comprises: Visual perception, Languages, Environment and Cannibalism both of which travelled to several private and public institutions: The Palais de Beaux-Arts (Lille), The Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais (Paris), the Fondation Hippocrène (Paris), La maison Rouge Fondation Antoine de Galbert (Paris), Me Collectors Room, Thomas Olbricht, Berlin, the Stiftung Genshagen (Berlin), Kunsthalle Dominikanerkirche (Osnabrück), 54th Biennale di Venezia (Venice), Museum of Modern Art (Moscow) and Museum of Modern Art (Baku).
