Nav Haq

b. in 1976, lives and works in Antwerp

Nav Haq is presently curator at the Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst Antwerpen. From 2007 to 2012 he was exhibition curator at the Arnolfini, Bristol, and from 2004 to 2007 curator at the Gasworks, London.

He has curated numerous solo projects with artists such as Hassan Khan, Cosima von Bonin, Shilpa Gupta, and Kerry Tribe. Group exhibitions have included the Contour Biennial 2007, Belgium; "Lapdogs of the Bourgeoisie: Class Hegemony in Contemporary Art" (with Tirdad Zolghadr); "Superpower: Africa in Science Fiction"; and "Museum Show", a major historical survey of museums created by artists.

In collaboration with Bassam El Baroni and Jeremy Beaudry, he initiated the online project "The ARPANET Dialogues" as part of Manifesta 8. Nav Haq has also contributed to numerous periodicals including Bidoun, frieze, and Kaleidoscope. In 2012 he was the co-recipient of the Independent Vision Award for Curatorial Achievement, awarded by Independent Curators International, New York.
